Geometry is one of the oldest forms of mathematics, tracing its origins back to Euclid over 2000 years ago. In more recent times many new notions of geometry have emerged that have made possible great simplifications and advances in mathematics. This talk will describe one such notion -- projective space -- which is one of the simplest and most universally useful spaces you will ever meet!
