You can buy Early Transcendentals, Single Variable by Briggs and Cochran at the UConn Coop, online directly from the publilsher, and many other places. CAUTION: Make sure you get MyLabsPlus codes bundled with the text as they cost about otherwise the code will have to be purchased separately. The single Variable volume is used for both Math 1131 and Math 1132. You will need to purchase the multivariable volume for Math 2110. However, you are able to purchase a combined version (heavy book for 1131-1132-210)
The publisher has set up a special web page, http://vig.pearsoned.com/store/home?url=/uconn/calculus, for UConn students to purchase a text online with the MyMathlab plus codes bundled.

Exam 1: (October 10 at 6 PM)    Common evening exam (1-1/2 hours)       25%
Exam 2: (November 14 at 6 PM)    Common evening exam (1-1/2 hours)   25%
Final Exam: (December 13 at 10:30 AM)     Common (2 hours)   35%
Gateway Exam (Pass/Fail)     Differentiation    0% (see Note)
Note: Failure to pass the Gateway Exam will lower the course grade by one full letter grade.
