Calculus: Single Variable, by Hughes-Hallett, Gleason, et al, 4th Edition    Graphing calculators will be used (TI 82, 83, 85 or 86 recommended)

Grading:

• The evening exams will be held in the rooms listed below from 6-8 pm on October 10 and November 14. The dates and times are listed in PeopleSoft, but not the rooms. Common make up exams will be held from 8-10 pm on the same days as the exams. Permission from your instructor is required.
  • Rooms as listed by section

    Sections 1,2,3: CAST 212 (195 seats) Sections 4,5,6,7,8: ITE C80 (350 seats) Sections 9,10,11: CHM A120 (248 seats)

    Sections 12: CHM A203 (120 seats) Sections 13,14,15,16,17: TLS 154 (300 seats) Sections 18,19,20,21: CLAS 108 (334 seats)

  • The first gateway exam will be in class on paper on October 23 or 24. There will be an open period from October 26 through November 17 during which the gateway exam may be repeated (as often as needed) in the Mathematics Mac Lab (MSB 203) or in the Calculus Center. Practice versions of the gateway exam may be taken online. These practice versions are from the same test bank as the actual exams and will be graded online.

Gateway Exam (October 23 - November 17)

• Calculators are NOT allowed.
• First gateway exam will be in class on paper around October 23
• Pass/fail exam.
• Retakes allowed in MacLab MSB 203 through November 17.
