30 Jan 2009 My Tuesday Q-Center hours have been scheduled. I will be in the Q-center every week I am in town from 3 to 4 pm.
20 Jan 2009 Due to fire alarm class ended early so I am pushing back to due date on the review homework.
Brief course description: This course is the third semester of the Introductory Calculus sequence. In this class we explore the uses of integration in relation to basic differential equations, parametric equations, and functions in polar coordinates. We spend the second half of the semester working with sequences and series culminated in the Euler formula at the end of the semester.
Course Notes:
Prerequisites: Math1121Q or Math113Q or equivalent.
Course grade: This will be based on
the following weighting:
-
20% WebAssign & Written Assignments
-
8% Quizes
-
2% In-class mini assignments
-
20% each midterm exam.
-
30% Final exam.
Homework:
-
Will be assigned and done on WebAssign. More information on how this will work will be given on the first day of class.
-
Computational problems should present a complete calculation, starting with the data of the problem. Do not just give the answer.
Quizes:
-
Quizes will in general be given every Thursday at the beginning of class. No make up quizes will be given.
Projects:
-
Projects will be assigned during the course of the semester as time and material present themselves. And in the grading scheme will count as quizes.
Exams: See above.
-
No make-up exams will be given except with documented excuses presented to me before the exam AND approved.
If you need exam accomodations based on a documented disability,
you need to speak with both the Center for
Student Disabilities and the me within the first two weeks of
