Grading and Assignments:
Homework
The homework assignments can be found on the course website at http://www.math.uconn.edu/~tollefso/math112/hw112sp04.html. On fridays select problems from the homework will be collected and graded. There is no online homework component for this course, however if any student wishes, access to the Wiley E-grade system will can be provided.

Gateway
The gateway exam is the first exam of the semester and will be offered once in class. Then any student not happy with their score can retake the exam as many times as possible within a time frame to improve the score. A attempt limit may be specified later. Only the highest score will be recorded. No calculator will be permitted on this exam. Regardless of success on other assignments,if a student does not pass this exam, they will not pass the course

Quizzes/Projects
A quiz will be given every monday. In lieu or in addition to a quiz at times various projects will be given. Some will be given as in class assignments, while others may be given for additional homework.

Make-up and Attendance Policies
In This class attendance is not required, however there are no make-ups given for any assignment. In compensation for this the lowest two quiz/project/homework grades will be dropped.

Calculator Policy
Graphing Calculators are required, however only TI-82,83,84,85 or 86 are allowed. TI-89/TI-92 are not allowed at any time. Calculators are not allowed at all on the Gateway exam.

Academic Integrity
Cheating is forbidden. Anybody caught cheating in any way will fail the assignment. Cheating does include inappropriate use of calculator memory.
