Grading and Assignments: Homework
There will be homework assigned from the text. Each assignment will contain two kinds of problems, those to turn in (listed in bold) and those that are excercises for you to work on. I suggest that you do all problems, as anything assigned is fair game for tests and quizzes. The questions in bold will be collected every Monday. The grading for these assignments will be on the correctness of the solution and the clarity of justification. You can work in groups, but everyone must write up their own solutions.
Exams
There will be two class length exams, and a final. All exams will be cumulative. Calculators will be forbidden on all exams, no exceptions.
Projects
Over the course of the semester, there will be two group projects assigned. Groups can be from 1 to 3 people, with a common solution to be turned in.

For medical cases, an email will suffice, however documentation must be provided on the first day back, up to two weeks after the date of the exam. Beyond that the exam cannot be made up.
For homework each student is allowed to turn in up to two assignments late by one week. After that the assignment will be a zero. Projects have no makeups, they must be completed by the deadline.

Cheating is forbidden, and will not be tolerated in any form whatsoever. Anyone caught cheating or aiding someone else in cheating will be subject to failing the assignment, or other possible grade reductions.
