My name is Jun Peng. I am currently a visiting assistant professor at the University of Connecticut. I received my Ph.D. from the Louisiana State University in August 2016, under the direction of Dr. Oliver Dasbach. You can find my most current CV here.

Research

My research interest is in knot theory. I mainly focus on the colored Jones polynomial, hyperbolic volume of link complements, and left orderable groups.

About Me

In my spare time, I like photoing while hiking (barely selfie, mainly natural beauties), and experiencing all national parks here is my ambitious goal (which seems to be too ambitious for me XD). Also, I play racket ball every week, though I'm still just an inexperienced player:)
