FALL 2019: Special Semester in PDE and Applied Mathematics

I am generally interested in methods for the numerical approximation of solutions
to ODEs and PDEs. This includes multi-physics simulations, such as for atmosphere-ocean
interaction. Some related techniques I work on are partitioned time-stepping methods,
operator-splitting methods and a posteriori error calculations for either error
quantification or adaptivity. More recently, I have looked at robust methods to calculate
traveling dissipative solitons.
