Advanced Calculus Program
Math 2141
Admission Form

There is limited enrollment in this program. Minimum requirements are (1) Math SAT score of 700 or higher and (2) placing out of at least one semester of first-year calculus. Since most students will not receive their AP scores until August, we will grant provisional admission early, subject to satisficatory scores on the AP Exams. This way students can arrange their schedule to fit the Advanced Calculus class. After the semester begins and you find that you want to switch into a regular or standard honors class, we can assist you with this.

The admission process is as follows:

  1. Fill out and submit this form. If you have already applied to UConn, we may already have some of the information requested.
  2. You will then be contacted and given additional information about the course.
  3. Later on in the process we will arrange for an interview, either in person if you are on campus or by telephone, so we can discuss the course with you.
  4. At some point we will also request a letter of recommendation from one of your mathematics teachers.

For more information on the Advanced Calculus Sequence, visit the class web page. For the schedule of meeting times, consult the Fall 2011 schedule at Class Schedules.
