TA Responsibilities 1) It is the responsibility of each instructor to meet his/her classes on time, grade and proctor all exams, attend meetings scheduled by the course coordinator, and have three office hours per week. These responsibilities continue until course grades are handed in. 2) There will be times, however, due to illness or some other reason, when you may not be able to meet these obligations. In such cases, the procedures to follow are listed below.
3) The University requires teaching evaluations to be distributed near the end of the semester. A student should be appointed to do this, and the task involved should be explained to the student. You should leave the vicinity of the classroom, and make sure that the student (and not you) brings the sealed and signed envelope to the Department office. If the student comes to your office, send him/her to the Math office. 4) It is recommended that office hours be in non-overlapping time blocks, to maximize the ability of the student to fit at least one of your office hours each week into his/her schedule.
