There
is no exact interpretation of this 0 to 4 grading
system into a 0 to 100 grading system. The right-hand
column of the above table shows a reasonable
interpretation. The interpretation of the words in the left-hand
column
are even harder to translate into a 0 to 100 numerical scale. UConn
leaves
grade determination in the hands of its teachers. Some instructors
curve their
grades. Those who don't curve use the grading system of the right-hand
column of the table, or a slight variation of it (a point or two more
or less generous).
TAs who teach sections of a coordinate
course need to follow the
course coordinator's instructions regarding grading scales.
