| Model theoretic methods were essential in showing that the sets definable in the real fields with exponentiation have good tame topological and geometric properties. When studying the complex field, the definability of the integers destroys any hope of a good theory, but leaved unanswered a number of interesting questions. Zilber has proposed a novel approach to answering these question. We will discuss Zilber's program and describe progress on the problem. | ||
