Multimedia Computer Lab

The multimedia computer lab in Mathematics has largeformt printing and video production capabilities. Computers in the lab include an Apple Mac Pro with two quad-core 2.66Ghz CPUs and 16GB of RAM, a Dell GX400 computer. The computers support a mixture of MacOS, Microsoft XP and LINUX operating systems.

Output facilities in the lab include a large-format HP designjet 500 which is capable of printing on 36 inch wide media. Media available for the printer include high-gloss photo paper, plain paper, heavy paper, translucent mylar film, and peel-and-stick media. Printing is normally charged at $30 per poster of 34x44 inches. Printing for approved projects in mathematics are free.

The multimedia lab also has capabilities of recording video to DV format using a Sony TRV 900 video camera. Video can be converted to VHS, DVD, VCD, and streaming web video formats using our Apple computer hardware and the Apple Digital Production Suite software.
