The Department of Mathematics at the University of Connecticut seeks a distinguished senior mathematician to hold the Stuart and Joan Sidney Professorship of Mathematics to start in Fall 2012. This is a tenured position at the Professor level. Highly qualified candidates in all mathematical disciplines are encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related area and an exceptional record of published research in high-quality mathematical journals. Preferred Qualifications: An internationally recognized research program with international stature, a commitment to effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a strong record of mentoring Ph.D. students, and demonstrated ability to attract external funding.
