My research is in mathematical logic, specifically in computability theory, reverse mathematics, and effective combinatorics. I am also interested in the philosophy of mathematics, and the application of logic to cognitive science. My work is currently supported in part by NSF Grant DMS-1400267.
I am associate director of the UConn Logic Group, and an affiliate member of the Connecticut Institute for the Brain and Cognitive Sciences.
I received my Ph.D. in 2011 from the University of Chicago under Robert Soare, Denis Hirschfeldt, and Antonio Montalbán. I was previously an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Notre Dame and the University of California, Berkeley.
